Water Planning Strategy Survey

The Shire, with support from the Great Southern Development Commission, is developing a Non-Potable Water Strategy to help maintain community spaces, protect environmental values, and strengthen resilience to climate change.

This looks at water used for things like:

• Irrigating public open spaces
• Firefighting and emergency supply
• Road works and maintenance
• Supporting the environment and cultural water values

We’re focusing on Gnowangerup, Borden and Ongerup, and exploring sources like rainwater, groundwater, dams, stormwater and wastewater.

Community input is essential to help shape the future.
