Gnowangerup Community Swimming Pool

The Gnowangerup Community Swimming Pool was officially opened on Saturday 5th November 2016.

The new facility includes:

  • 25m Lap Pool
  • Learn to Swim Pool
  • Electric heating system
  • Water features
  • Fully landscaped grounds and shaded areas
  • Family BBQ and Picnic Facilities

Entry Fees And Membership Prices

Season Passes are available to purchase at the Shire of Gnowangerup Administration Office between the hours of 9:00am and 4:30pm Monday to Friday. Prices are as follows:

Morning Swimmers

Morning Swimmers will be required to attend an induction session designed to test fitness and explain the rules and responsibilities for people wishing to access the facility during morning swimming time.

Morning swimming will be available 4 days a week:

Morning Swimmers will be issued with a timed access card which will allow them to access the Pool with a Swimming buddy during morning swimming hours. They will also be able to access the Disabled Toilet and Shower. Please note the male and female change rooms will not be able to be accessed during morning swimming times due to health and safety requirements relating to the access doors in each change room.

Morning Swimmers will be required to purchase a Season Pass (Individual or Family) prior to signing up for the Morning Swimming Program.

Food and Drink at the Pool

The Gnowangerup Swimming Pool does not offer a Kiosk facility. The facility has a drinking water fountain that can be accessed by all patrons.  

In order to cater for the consumption of hot food, a double BBQ has been installed and is available for use by all patrons. Utensils are not available on site so patrons are encouraged to bring their own. The BBQ can be booked free of charge by contact Andre on 9827 1273. Please be aware that the use of the BBQ is on a first come first serve basis.

Health And Safety

The Pool is a strictly Smoke and Alcohol free zone. A butt bin has been provided in the car park area of the Pool grounds. Smoking is not permitted anywhere within 10 meters of the entrance to the facility.

Sunscreen

Sunscreen is available from the Pool Office and can be requested as needed. Patrons are encouraged to stay suns smart so bring a hat, apply sunscreen regularly and protect your skin from UV damage.

Transport - Bikes

A bike rack is available for people that would like to ride to the facility. It is suggested that all bike riders have their own locking device to secure their bike. The Shire cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to personal property left on the premises.

Picnic Rugs - Act Belong Commit

Picnic Rugs are available to loan at the Pool Office. Loan of the Picnic Rug is free and are on a first come first serve basis. All loan items should be returned to the Pool Office before patrons leave the facility.

Supervision of Children - Watch Around Water

The Shire of Gnowangerup supports and promotes the watch around water policies:

  • Children under five years age must be accompanied into the centre by a responsible adult and supervise within arms reach at all times while in the centre
  • Children under 10 years must be accompanied into the centre by a responsible adult and supervised within line of sight at all times while in the centre
  • All unsupervised children will be removed from the water

Spectators are free so parents are welcome to come along and watch their kids at no charge.
