Community Financial Assistance Grants 2026/27

Have a great idea for your community?

The Shire of Gnowangerup's Community Financial Assistance Grants (CFAG) Program supports local community groups to turn ideas into action.

Whether it is a community event, new equipment, an improvement to a community facility, a volunteer-led initiative or a project that brings people together, funding may be available to help make it happen.

Community groups within the Shire of Gnowangerup are invited to apply for funding through the 2026/27 Community Financial Assistance Grants Program.

Funding Available

Small Grants – up to $5,000

Designed to support volunteer activities, smaller projects and community initiatives.

Funding could help with projects such as:

  • equipment or resources for a community group

  • activities that encourage community participation

  • volunteer-led initiatives

  • small improvements or projects

  • local events and activities.

Community Grants – $5,000 to $10,000

Designed to support larger community projects, events and activities that provide a benefit to the local community.

This could include:

  • community events and programs

  • improvements to community facilities

  • projects that encourage participation and connection

  • initiatives that create lasting benefits for the community.

      Groups are strongly encouraged to discuss their project before submitting an application.

      A quick conversation can help determine whether your project is eligible, which grant category is most suitable and what information should be included in your application.

      Before submitting an application:

      1. Read the Eligibility Criteria

      2. Discuss your project with the Community and Economic Development Manager

      3. Complete the Application Form

      4. Submit your application by the advertised closing date.
