BUSH FIRES ACT 1954
PART III PREVENTION OF BUSH FIRES SECTION 18 - RESTRICTED BURNING TIME (LIFTED)

Due to seasonal rainfall the Shire of Gnowangerup hereby advises Pursuant to Section 18, subsection (5B} Bush Fires Act 1954 the Shire of Gnowangerup advises the Restricted Burning Period has been revoked from Midnight 16th April 2025 (No Permits required from 17th April 2025)

Note: 

• Under Section 46 of the bushfires act the Chief Bushfire Control Officer can re-impose a restricted season to again manage burning activities if significant weather is forecast.
• You are still responsible for any fire you light during open burning season and need to take due care.
