Proposed Extractive Industry (Spongolite)

Notice is hereby given for public information and comment that the Shire of Gnowangerup has received an application for a proposed Extractive Industry (Spongolite) at Lot 151 (653) Monjebup Road, Monjebup (Boxwood Hill).

The proposal is for the removal of Spongolite rock from a 5 hectare portion of Lot 151 as depicted in the image below:

The Shire is now inviting submissions on the proposed Extractive Industry and submissions must be in writing addressed to Mr Bob Jarvis, Chief Executive Officer, Shire of Gnowangerup, 28 Yougenup Road, Gnowangerup WA 6335 and must be received no later than the close of business on Friday, 4 March 2022.
