NOTICE OF ELECTION OF

SHIRE PRESIDENT AND DEPUTY SHIRE PRESIDENT

The Shire of Gnowangerup welcomes new Councillors elected in the 2023 Ordinary Election.

A Special Council Meeting was held on Wednesday on 25  October 2023 where Council elected the Shire President and Deputy Shire President for the Shire of Gnowangerup.

Councillor Kate O’Keeffe JP was elected unopposed as the Shire President.

Shire President Kate O’Keeffe JP, who will hold the position of Shire President for a two-year term, paid tribute to the outgoing Shire President Fiona Gaze and Councillor Shelley Hmeljak and welcomed the new team.

Councillor Rebecca O’Meehan was elected unopposed as Deputy Shire President and will hold this position for a two-year term. Shire President Kate O’Keeffe JP thanked Councillor Greg Stewart JP for his contribution during his term as previous Deputy Shire President.

Congratulations are extended to all new and re-elected Councillors and to our new elected Shire President and Deputy President
