Part-Time Marketing Officer – Wild Gravel Event
Are you an enthusiastic and creative marketer with a passion for adventure? The Shire are seeking a Part-Time Marketing Officer to lead the promotion of the Wild Gravel 2026 event. Help showcase the "Heart of the Stirlings" and build excitement for this premier cycling and running event.

The Role
- Employment Type: Fixed term part time - hours to be negotiated
- Location: Shire Administration Office, 28 Yougenup Road, Gnowangerup (Remote working is a possibility, occasional trips to Gnowangerup will be required)
- Classification: Local Government Industry Award 2020 – Level 2
Key Responsibilities
- Social media: Develop and manage engaging content across Facebook, Instagram, and cycling forums
- Content Creator: Create digital and print promotional materials and capture event stories and visitor experiences
- Storyteller: Coordinate media releases and communicate with community stakeholders and sponsors
- Web Specialist: Assist with website updates and event marketing calendars
About You
- Proven experience in marketing, event promotion, or social media
- Strong creative writing and verbal communication skills
- An independent worker with great attention to detail
- Desirable: A love for gravel cycling culture, running events or regional tourism
