CONTRACTS AND COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR
The Shire of Gnowangerup is seeking a meticulous and proactive Contracts and Compliance Coordinator to join our Administration team. This position works alongside the HR & Contracts Manager, Customer Service Team, and Regulatory Services Team to maintain and administer contracts and leases, assist in the provision of regulatory services (including building, development and environmental health functions), and ensures record-keeping standards are maintained for these teams.
This position is suitable for an individual who is able to work both independently and as part of team, and is confident in managing different tasks and deadlines. About the Role
You will be responsible for:
- Maintaining contracts and leases register.
- Collaborating with the HR & Contracts Manager on the preparation and finalisation of contracts.
- Assisting with responding to Freedom of information and privacy and responsible information sharing requests.
- Managing scope of building and development applications, including observing legislated time limitations.
- Providing administrative support to the Regulatory Services Team, including facilitation of execution of documents, coordination of submission of council reports and maintenance of accurate records.
- Developing working procedures to promote compliance in administration, record keeping and customer service.
- Assisting the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Assistant with regulatory processes including property disposals
- Monitoring contract compliance and liaise with stakeholders on provision of required insurances, contract renewals and maintenance.
- Undertaking contract negotiations with outside stakeholders, including service providers and community stakeholders.
- Managing Shire leases including leasing Shire assets to external parties (e.g. Sporting complexes) and entering leases on behalf of the Shire (e.g. staff housing).Liaise with government departments in relation to compliance, regulatory and contract matters.
- Collaborating with the Senior Executive Assistant and Governance Officer and Governance Support Officer on compliance with governance standards.

Employees may be required to undertake a Medical Examination prior to commencement of employment. A purchase order will be issued ahead of such Medical Examination. All employees are required to provide a Police Clearance that is no older than three months. The cost of obtaining a Police Clearance will be reimbursed by the Shire upon provision of receipt.
