The Ongerup Refuse Site will reopen on Saturday 25 October 2025 after the fire was extinguished at the general waste trench (landfill).

Firebreaks must be installed on all properties within the Shire by 15 October 2025 and maintained clear of all flammable material up to and including 30 April 2026.
