COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR - 9 MONTHS MATERNITY LEAVE

 

The Shire of Gnowangerup is looking for an enthusiastic person to fill a 9-month (June 2021 to March 2022) maternity leave position as Community Development Coordinator. This is an exciting and interesting role assisting in the development and facilitation of the Shire’s community programs and initiatives.

 Position objectives:

  • Manage the community services program and projects within the budgetary framework and consistent with Council’s Strategic Community Plan.
  • Plan, develop, coordinate, implement and evaluate a range of community initiatives and events, as determined by Council. These include, but are not limited to, projects involving seniors, people with a disability, youth, community safety, sporting clubs, town enhancement groups, tourism and volunteering.
  • Working collaboratively and developing sustainable partnerships with key agencies, community groups and key community members.
  • Management of the Shires Swimming Pool and Library services.
