Every year Red Cross runs an annual campaign to help all Australians prepare for disasters and emergencies of any kind.
As key stakeholders we have worked with we are asking you to help us get the word out, so together we can help all Australians get ready for whatever emergency life throws at them.
This year Disaster Preparedness Week will be held from Monday 23 September to Sunday 29 September. Our message this year is that for many, it’s what happens after an emergency that becomes the real disaster.
Please share our free tools within your network and help Australians get prepared.
- Emergency RediPlan
- Get Prepared app
- Survival kit checklist
Please also like and follow our WA Red Cross Emergency Services Facebook page Australian Red Cross - Emergency Services Western Australia to see and share stories during the week.
Emergencies happen to us all. They can be as large as a flood or as personal as a home accident.
For many, it’s what happens after an emergency that becomes the real disaster.
The good news is, by being prepared we can reduce stress and help with the long term impact.
