Orange Pouch Project

Published on Thursday, 13 August 2020 at 12:00:00 AM

The orange pouch is a WATERPROOF PVC DOCUMENT WALLET that can be used to store important documents like passports, insurance policies, birth certificates etc. all in one place, should you have to grab those document in the event of an emergency. The pouch also contains general emergency contact numbers and space to add other numbers you consider necessary.. The Shire of Gnowangerup hopes to use this project to educate local residents on the benefits of being prepared for emergencies such as the December 2019 fires in the Stirling Ranges and at Camel Lake.

Every ratepayer will receive a wallet very soon with this year’s rates notice. If you are not a ratepayer and don’t receive rates notices, you can collect a wallet from the Shire of Gnowangerup Administration Office.

A massive thank you to Anrie Van Zyl, our Corporate Risk Officer for initiating and implementing this fantastic project for our community. For more information on this project, you can contact Anrie on 9827 1007 or email anrie.vanzyl@gnowangerup.wa.gov.au.
