The Bluff Knoll walk trail will re-open at 8am on Friday 22nd May 2020.
The new, more "family-friendly" Bluff Knoll walk trail has been under construction for months after bushfires razed about one third of the Stirling Range National Park in December. More than 50 tonnes of materials have been airlifted onto the peak for the works which include reducing step height to make the trail more accessible.
It's overdue good news for the businesses around Bluff Knoll, including Stirling Range Retreat, Bluff Knoll Cafe, Mt Trio Bush Camp & Caravan Park and The Lily Stirling Range which have been crippled by the double blow of bushfires and travel restrictions. The Mt Trio and Mt Toolbrunup trails will reopen on Saturday 23rd May 2020. The Stirling Range Ridge Walk, Ellen Peak, Moingrup Springs and the Toll Peak picnic area remain closed.
