AHA COVID-19 HYGIENE COURSES

The WA State Government has mandated that as a condition of re-opening, hospitality and tourism businesses must have all staff trained in the Australian Hotels Association (AHA) Tier 1 COVID-19 Hospitality and Tourism Hygiene Course.

Managers and supervisors are required to complete the more advanced Tier 2 COVID-19 Hygiene Officer Course to ensure their staff and venues remain compliant with the COVID-19 restrictions and hygiene standards.

Having a more detailed understanding of the following training modules contained in the Tier 1 COVID-19 Hospitality and Tourism Hygiene Course, Hygiene Officers will ensure best practice is adhered to so that patrons and staff remain safe.

Tier 1 - COVID-19 Hospitality and Tourism Hygiene Course  (all staff)

Tier 2 - COVID-19 Hygiene Officer Course  (managers and supervisors)

COVID-19 SAFETY PLAN

15/5/2020

All businesses are required to mitigate the risks of COVID-19.

To reopen, businesses will need to:

  • comply with conditions outlined in the COVID Safety Guidelines - please read these before completing your plan
  • complete a COVID Safety Plan
  • display a COVID Safety Plan Certificate in a visible location on the premises - this is included in the plan
  • maintain a strict limit of a minimum of 4 square metres per person
  • ensure a maximum of 20 people per venue (excluding staff)
  • maintain hygiene and frequent cleaning
  • maintain attendance records of patrons for the purposes of contact tracing
  • carefully manage waiting areas to ensure social distancing.

COVID-19 DASHBOARD

Local COVID-19 information is now at the fingertips of all Western Australians after the launch of a new COVID-19 dashboard. The dashboard enables members of the public to track the State’s current COVID-19 curve and stay up-to-date with other local COVID-19 information through a combination of maps, graphs and tables.
